We’re going to focus on the functions of the 2019 Cabrinha Recoil Control Bar and compare it to the Trimlite Bars. The Recoil Control Bar only comes in an adjustable bar length from 48-56cm. What defines the Recoil bar is how you trim the bar, or another way to put is how you depower or power your kite.

Recoil Tabs
There are two tabs, a white and black tab that controls your power/ depower while riding. The benefits of these tabs are that they are closer within reach than the Trimlite Bar’s trim adjuster is. So if you have a shorter reach than say someone who is 6′ tall, this bar is worth considering.
If you’re a sailor and understand how cleats work then the Trimlite Bar is most likely for you. However, we have seen a lot of customers struggle with using a cleat trim adjuster. The Recoil tabs are simple, white tab = less power and black tab = more power.
A benefit of the Recoil Bar over the Trimlite Bar is that the pieces on the Recoil system will last longer than the trim line adjuster. A nice thing about Cabrinha Bars in general is that the quality if fantastic and the bars will last.
New For 2019

The big changes made on the control bar is the grip. The bar itself is tapered inwards at the top to fit your grip better. The grip itself has been altered slightly as well to feel more comfortable in the hands.
Colors have changed on the quickloop version from yellow and black to white and black.
Adjustable Bar
This bar has two settings, 48cm or 56cm. This allows you to use this bar with a variety of different kite sizes. We’ve personally used this bar on kites from 6m to 17m. Another nice feature on having an adjustable bar length is being able to control the turning speed of the kite. The wider setting (56cm) will cause the kite to respond faster. The more narrow setting (48cm) will cause the kite to turn slower. If you want to learn new tricks, its nice to have a slower turning kite. Once you learn those tricks and want to send the kite, the 56cm setting will create a snappier turning kite.
