It’s that time of year again where the land heats up faster than the water temperature causing a sea breeze. Sea breezes occur during the afternoon hours and are out of the NW.
Friday – Expect a solid sea breeze today, about 12 – 16 mph out of the NW. Sea breezes typically begin to turn on around 1 – 2 pm and lasting until about 5pm.
1 pm Update:
Saturday – Northeasterly wind early in the morning around 15 – 20 mph until about 10am.

Sunday – As a front approaches the Tampa Bay area, southerly winds will be in affect. Winds will be S at around 12 – 18 mph around mid morning to early afternoon. Be careful of thunderstorms later in the day and if you choose to ride at Fort Desoto East Beach, be aware that the wind could shift to the SW later in the day.
