The water temperature has dropped off due to the cold front that came through in the middle of the week. Sunny, warm and dry conditions mixed with cooler water temperatures is the perfect recipe for a sea breeze. Both Saturday and Sunday should experience good sea breezes.
Saturday – Light wind in the morning through early afternoon. Potential for a sea breeze later in the afternoon. NW winds around 12-15 mph.
3pm Update:
Sunday – Sea breeze will be more in effect on Sunday with NW winds at 15 – 20mph starting around 1-2pm depending on where you are. Sea breezes start out on the beaches and make there way south and inland. You will be able to see signs of a sea breeze at the Clearwater Beach Pier sensor on Ikitesurf before it makes its way south to St Pete Beach and the Skyway Bridge.
